Late 70s Clunker to be........

This is one of my favorites. Its a WTB-TREK team bike from '87. It has the WTB Type II fork, WTB Roller cams, bars, and grips, Specialized rims, tires (designed by WTB), and stem, Suntour XC seatpost, Turbo saddle, press-in bb, and needs a drivetrain.

This is an old Mongoose IBOC Pro with a Ritchey Logic fork, moustache bars.

1989-90 YETI C-26. Very few of these made. This is an early one. Needs a crank and bb yet. King headset, XT, Manitou 1 fork.

1989 Bridgestone MB-1. Bridgestone's best bike in 89. I had one of these then. I loved it. 1989 was the year before the MB-0 came out. In February of '89 Grant P. and the crew started to look for all the lightest parts possible to spec on their top of the line bike to be released the next year and came up with a completely new bike for 1990 called the MB-0. This MB-1 here is a 49cm. I have just found a nice 46 (better fit) to rebuild with very light parts from 1989. It should end up around 23lbs or so. I should have it ready by mid-Feb., 2004. It is one of the few bikes that I will rebuild in "non-original" form. I want to kinda do it like I personally built it back then. But this time it will be even better. I really like this year because its the only year that came with the Eric Koski "Dura-Trac" fork which to me is one of the best rigid forks ever made. A nice light steel bike with lugged, Prestige tubing. It came with a Ritchey seatpost, stem, rims, tires, and XT components. A cool bike for in its day.
