2002 Giant XTC SE1, heavily modified to a verified 18.8lbs and solid.

Scott Strike Team Issue. 4" travel front and rear. 21.75 pounds. This is a mut grouppo-wise. It has Dura Ace rear der. and cassette, XTR RF shifters, Am Classic ASYM wheels, Magura Marta SL brakes, XT front der., Am Classic Ti bb, RaceFace Turbine LP cranks with custom rings, WCS seatpost and stem, Extralite headset and bars,Scott Ti pedals. The frame is carbon HMF on the front and scandium on the rear and weighs only 1960 grams. Thats a full 2.2lbs lighter than say a SC Blur. Not that thats very important. It rides great too. The Blur feels a bit more stout and the rear end is more plush. This bike is fast. It took me to the top step of the podium at the 2003 Downieville Classic. Shown with its winter set up with lights and heavy mud tires.
